Shun Aonuma (青沼 瞬 Aonuma Shun) is one of the five main characters and a member of Group One.

Appearance

At the age of twelve years, Shun has short, black hair that reaches down to his ears in the front and to his neck in the back. His eyes have an emerald shade of green. As clothing, he wears the common school uniform of Sage Academy, which consists of a white vest with a blue seam, a purple bow tied over the midsection and four blue buttons on the stomach area of the vest. Additionally, he wears pants in the same color as the seam, with a single white line on the bottom of each side, as well as fitting shoes combined with white and blue socks. A yellow-fringed patch on the left sleeve denotes his group number.

Not much has changed about his appearance at the age of fourteen years, the only differences being taller in height and broader shoulders, as well as his hair being a little longer in the front and messier in general. He is still wearing the same uniform he has been wearing at the age of twelve years.

Biography

Shun is the smartest and most composed of the group and is able to think through any situation. He is also implied to be the most talented at using Cantus in their generation. Despite his age, he is very knowledgeable. Shun was the first of his class to attain his Cantus, graduate from Harmony School, and attend Sage Academy.

It was shown that from the ages of 12 to 14, Shun dealt with complications revolving around his subconscious use of Cantus. This eventually led to him becoming a Karma Demon, until his death at 14.

Trivia

• In the manga, Satoru and Shun do not have any romantic relationship, although it is canon in the novel and anime. However, Satoru has shown moments of jealousy in the manga whenever Shun talked about Saki.
• Shun's mantra is "Oṃ amogha vairocana mahāmudrā maṇipadma jvāla pravarttaya hūṃ."
